Yunnan police rescued 31 abducted children


According to Singtao Daily and Yunnan’s website yunnan.cn, police in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, recently busted an extraordinary large child-trafficking ring, rescued 31 abducted children and captured 76 suspects. It takes the police more than 190 days to crack the case after travels over 60,000 kilometers to and fro 7 provinces and 10 cities.

The website says, Kunming Railway Public Security Bureau had checked and inspected every stations and carriages and found at the waiting rooms of railway stations five suspects and rescued four abducted children since it cracked a child-trafficking case last November.

It found that all the four abducted baby girls were bought at 8,000 to 10.000 yuan (US$1,480 – 1,850) each and were to be sold at Handan, Xingtai and other cities in Hebei Province.

The Bureau immediately set up a special team while he Public Security Bureau included the case in China’s national special projects against child-abduction. At present, investigation of the case is still underway.
