China’s mil.eastday.com says in its report on June 17 that according to recent Internet photo of J-20 being tested at Dingxin Base, the largest air force tactic training center in Asia, final weapon tests have been carried out at the base before J-20 is commissioned and put into small batch production.

As there has been frequent appearance of new types of weapons and equipment of China’s air force at Dingxin Base, the base attracts great attention of foreign commercial and spy satellites.

In fact, the base is Chinese air force’s top integrated multifunction scientific research and training center where tests, test flights, target practice and training are conducted for its air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and new weapons, equipment and methods of operation.

Due to stringent confidentiality about information of China’s most advanced stealth fighter jet J-20, we can only rely on background analysis of the test sites to get some information about China’s top secret weapons. That has proved to be the best method to get information so far.

Quite different from the other sites of J-20 appearance, quite a few fake airfield facilities and runway facilities have been built near Dingxin airfield mainly for the air force to test precision guided attack and the attack with dispenser and cluster bombs.

Based on the background analysis of the new J-20 test site, it is believed that J-20 is at the site for its final weapon projective and firing tests before commissioning and small batch production.

The photo is an early first J20 prototype that appeared between 2011-2012. Since then it has been through many redesigns.

Nice Post – wonder if any news of the J-18 VTOL. At this stage, when the J-20 is commissioned to PLAAF, only the J-11B, and J10B will be a complementary fighter alongside the J-20.
