Vietnamese protesters detained for rapping China over South China Sea case

About 20 Vietnamese demonstrators were detained on Sunday while trying to hold a protest against China’s rejection of an international court decision that denied its vast claims in the South China Sea.
The Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, deciding a case lodged by the Philippines, ruled last week that China’s nine-dash line denoting its territory, illustrated in a U-shape on Chinese maps, was illegal and breached Manila’s sovereign rights. Beijing has called the case a farce.
The demonstrators, some wearing T-shirts with the slogan “No-U”, were forced by unknown men into buses and cars that were waiting for them around Hanoi’s historic Hoan Kiem lake, Reuters witnesses said.
Vietnam has its own sovereignty disputes with China, but has been reserved in its comments on last week’s verdict, welcoming it but not saying if Hanoi would pursue the same legal path as the Philippines.
Vietnam’s communist government is sensitive about anti-China sentiment among its people, many of whom welcomed the Philippines’ legal victory.
China claims most of the energy-rich waters through which about $5 trillion in ship-borne trade passes every year. Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam also have claims.
Also on Sunday, a separate group of Vietnamese demonstrators held a rally that lasted less than one minute in front of the Philippines embassy in Hanoi.
The nearly 10 people in the group hopped onto scooters and fled to evade arrest as police approached.Their signs read “China you must comply with international law” and “Thank you Philippines, you have a brave government.”

Have you notice these handful of idiots holding up signs in English. These fools are doing this for western English speaking media. These foolish Vietnamese just failed to realise the Phillipines ask the PCA to rule that none of the islands Vietnam administered in the Spratley are islands that can support life and that they too along with China do not have historical claim to the SCS. It would certainly seems that both Phillipines and Vietnam are willing to sacrifice its claims to the Spratley to deny China from claiming the SCS.

Vietnam and Philippines asked China to obey what law? Vietnamese and Philippines are squatters on Chinese territory. Thieves accusing China of thievery. China should not negotiate with these traitorous government. Negotiate only if on China’s terms and conditions. Otherwise, squeeze them out economically.
The Philippine government says they are willing to share the resources even when the fake PCA court ruled in their favor. Then suddenly asked China to obey the ruling. This Duterte government can’t be trusted. He will fire his mouth and then will retract them as quickly or will say people misunderstood him.
Vietnamese government organized the protests and make it look like some random people are behind it. They know anti Chinese news organizations will pick up the news to add pressure to China and use it as one of the bargaining chips during negotiations with China.
All these with the instigation and blessings of USA government.

20 protesters? Wow that’s a lot. What happens to those famed CIA purse? Budget problem? Once they could gather thousands of starving protesters with a free lunch and a T-shirt each. Now they could only afford 20? I don’t realise that printing T-shirt in Vietnam is that expensive nowadays. But those T-shirt always gave them away. And what with their ridiculous smile? Weren’t they supposed to be seriously protesting? Couldn’t they at least hire better actors for the very least? So who are they? Employees at American and British embassies at Hanoi are more likely.

The PCA is just a Paid service and has no relationship with the ICJ and UN. Imagine the PCA fees cost millions of dollars paid by PH on behalf of China and itself since China is a non participant. The $$$ are then shared among the two arbitrators (team). What a joke.
With numerous support for China now by nations and legal entities worldwide, I believe China need to counter punch via the ICJ & UN and denounce the PCA award as fraud or farce or illegal. The world need to be informed that China has legal historical foundation. This is important for China as a global superpower not just for the SCS fiasco, but political status at home and abroad. Especially, since China is continuing with its territorial development of the SCS. In the last 3 decades, China’s political governance has been the most stable and the richest nation on earth.

Tung Chee Hwa calls it an Ad Hoc Arbitration. There are a big number of legal entities and scholars supporting China. In fact it is a law abusing farcical arbitration, a maritime circus for the Philippines, both Director and Producer are the US and PH with the JAP judge playing the leading actor. I firmly believe that China is working hard to gather a team of international and Chinese lawyers and scholars to challenge the legality of this Ad Hoc award via the ICJ and UN. Surely, China should not simply do nothing about it, especially when over 70 nations and 130 legal entities are supporting China. China has historical facts in regard to sovereignty, it would be a shame if nothing is done about it.
