Washington Free Beacon says in its report “China Steps Up Naval Presence Near Key Disputed Island” on August 11 that according to above new satellite photos made public by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), China has deployed fighter jets and other warplanes and built hangars for them on the artificial islands it has built on Subi, Mischief and Fiery Cross Reefs in the South China Sea.

The report says, “The three islets are being prepared for hangar space for 24 fighter jets along with three to four larger planes.” However, it says, “Contrary to press reports, the hangars are not hardened against attack. Instead, the aircraft storage facilities are fortified against the frequent storms that pass through the South China Sea.”

It quotes a US defense official as saying that the new facilities are significant military buildup as the hangars can be used to service and repair Chinese warplanes to enable their deployment on the islands permanently.

Naturally, when Kap ships are now joining U.S. patrols…

It may be photoshop, but it is a good deterrence for the pesky American to think twice before sending their naval junks to the area. With so many lies the American are making, it’s not surprising that they believe their own deceptions as the truth. And with Japan get its hand full in China’s new offensive on East China Sea, the American are on their own. Anyway, it does not matter what China put on the islands. China can put Cuba-style nuclear missiles if it wants to. Nobodyjin the region cares, no body objected. Not even the Philippines. Not anymore. Only the American and its ‘many’ allies of ‘two’, Japan and Australia. As the trio’s bluff to have no adequate ships was exposed, they have shifted from sending ships to sending tirades instead.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) should be investigated to make sure this organization is not spreading lies.

There are other sources like Janes which could get other satellite photos to confirm. If there is none, it means CSIS photoshopped the image to mislead the public.

It make no sense for China to park so many planes in broad daylight to show off, especially in the salty humid environment. These planes should be in the hangar, not in public view in order to prevent damage from the atmosphere. CSIS is obviously involved in a propaganda war against China.

If they are being prepared for fighter jets and larger planes, why would the pictures contain jet planes already? Photoshop?

It’s photoshopped. Can’t possibly see thru the hanger roof. Just to let the world know where the hangers are located, how many planes and hype the China threat.
