On January 26, China has conducted a successful maiden flight of Y-20 transport aircraft it has developed on its own. That type of aircraft is a large multifunction transport China has relied on its own in its development. It is capable of carrying out long-distance transport of various goods and personnel under complicated weather conditions. The successful maiden flight of Y-20 large transport is of vital importance in promoting the development of Chinese economy and defense modernization and enabling China to deal with emergencies such as disaster rescue and relief and provide humanitarian aids. After the maiden flight, relevant tests and trial flight will be carried on according to the plan.
